GO Transit line guide

Lakeshore East

Union – Durham College Oshawa · 10 stations.

Lakeshore East runs from Union Station east through Scarborough and into Durham Region, ending at Durham College Oshawa, with 10 stations along the way. It's one of GO's genuinely all-day, two-way corridors rather than a peak-only commuter line: trains run roughly every 30 minutes through midday and evening, tighten to about 10 minutes during the evening rush, and continue overnight at roughly a half-hour interval rather than stopping service after the evening commute. Weekend trains run too, starting a bit later at 7:39 a.m. compared to 5:02 a.m. on weekdays, but running just as late into the night. Major stops along the way include Danforth and Guildwood in Toronto's east end, and Ajax and Whitby further out in Durham Region, giving the corridor a mix of city and suburban character depending on where along the line a trip starts or ends.
