Eglinton is a Scarborough stop on the Lakeshore East line, between Scarborough and Guildwood, on the corridor's run along the city's southern edge. Weekday trains run from 5:40 a.m. to past midnight the next day; weekend service starts later, at 8:17 a.m., also running into the early morning. Despite the shared name, it sits nowhere near the TTC's Eglinton subway station in midtown, so plan any onward trip as a local bus connection rather than a subway transfer. Both weekday and weekend trains stop here, unlike some of the corridor's more limited stations further from Union. Like most stops on this stretch, Eglinton primarily serves nearby residential streets, with riders typically arriving by car, bus, or on foot from the immediate neighbourhood rather than from across the city.
