Downsview Park station sits on Line 1 between Sheppard West and Finch West, named for the large urban park and former airfield lands just east of the platform. It's also one of the subway's direct links to GO Transit, with a GO station close enough to make a same-stop transfer onto regional rail heading north out of the city. That combination, a big green space above ground and a rail connection below, makes it more useful than its relatively quiet immediate surroundings might suggest on their own. Reroute treats the GO link as part of the same search as the subway itself, so a trip heading further north than Line 1 goes can still come back as a single itinerary instead of forcing a rider to check two separate schedules by hand.
