Bronte serves the Bronte neighbourhood of Oakville, on the Lakeshore West line between Oakville station and Appleby, in one of the corridor's more closely spaced sections west of Toronto. Weekday trains start at 5:11 a.m. and run past midnight; weekend service begins later, at 7:54 a.m. Because Bronte sits within a few minutes of both Oakville and Appleby by train, the fastest station to start from isn't always the geographically nearest one, especially once a rider's actual starting point and destination are factored in. Reroute checks all three of these nearby stops when it plans a Lakeshore West trip through this stretch, rather than assuming the closest platform is automatically the quickest way to Union.
