Broadview station opens onto Broadview Avenue where it meets Danforth Avenue, right at the edge of Riverdale, one of the neighbourhoods that climbs the east side of the Don Valley. It's a Line 2 stop between Castle Frank and Chester, without an interchange to another line, so the platform sees a fairly steady but not overwhelming flow of riders heading in and out of the east end. From street level, the Don Valley ravine and the Bloor Viaduct are both a short walk away, giving the area a different feel from the flatter blocks further along the Danforth. It's a straightforward part of any east-west Line 2 trip, though for a short hop within Riverdale itself, a streetcar or bus running the same corridor above ground can sometimes beat descending underground just because the subway looks like the obvious option.
