College station serves Line 1 at College Street and Yonge, a short walk from Queen's Park and the University of Toronto campus that spreads out to the west. It sits one stop south of Wellesley and one stop north of TMU station near Yonge-Dundas Square, in the middle of a run of downtown stops that see steady traffic all day rather than a sharp rush-hour spike, given how much of the surrounding area is government offices, hospitals, and university buildings rather than pure commercial towers. The station itself isn't wheelchair accessible, which matters for anyone planning a trip that needs a step-free path through downtown. Reroute factors that into route options where accessibility is a requirement, steering around College toward a nearby stop that can actually accommodate the trip instead of assuming every downtown station works the same way.

Delay risk

Line 1 Yonge–University's incident rate runs about 1.4× the GTA-wide baseline, built from public TTC delay history — a comparison of incident rates, not the odds your specific trip is delayed.
