Erindale sits on GO's Milton line in Mississauga, between Cooksville and Streetsville, close to the University of Toronto Mississauga campus. Like the rest of the Milton line, service here runs weekdays only, in the peak commuting direction, with trains operating between 6:25 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. and no scheduled weekend rail service. That makes Erindale useful for a fairly specific kind of trip: getting to or from downtown Toronto during standard commuting hours, rather than an anytime option. Reroute flags that limited window when it plans a trip through Erindale, so a rider searching outside the weekday service hours sees driving or another transit option surfaced instead of a train that simply isn't running.
