Dixie sits on GO's Milton line near the Mississauga-Etobicoke boundary, between Kipling and Cooksville, close to where the corridor crosses out of Toronto proper. Like the rest of the Milton line, it runs weekday, peak-direction service only, with trains operating from 6:36 a.m. to 7:33 p.m. and no scheduled weekend rail service. Dixie's position just past Kipling makes it one of the earlier stops for anyone starting a Milton line trip from further west, and one of the first options for Toronto-side riders looking to catch a train without going all the way into Union first. Its limited weekday-only schedule reflects the line's role as a rush-hour commuter corridor rather than an all-day service.
