Allandale Waterfront is the northern terminus of the Barrie line, sitting on Barrie's Kempenfelt Bay shoreline after the train works its way up from Union through York Region. It's the last stop for anyone riding the full length of the corridor, and weekday trains start early, at 5:13 a.m., running past midnight into the next day. Weekend service exists on this line too, though it starts noticeably later, around 7:01 a.m. Being an end-of-line station, Allandale Waterfront sees a mix of commuters heading into Toronto for the day and Barrie residents just arriving home, with the waterfront setting giving it a different character from the more built-up suburban stops further down the line.
