Rutherford station is in the city of Vaughan, on GO Transit's Barrie line between Downsview Park and Maple. It sits in a part of Vaughan that's grown significantly over the past two decades, and the station has become a key rail link for residents who'd otherwise be driving into the city along Highway 400 or the 407. The station is wheelchair accessible. Barrie line trains through Rutherford run south into Union Station and north through Maple, King City, Aurora, and the rest of the corridor toward Barrie, so depending on the time of day it can serve either a downtown commute or a trip further out into York Region and Simcoe County.
