Richmond Hill station sits in the town the line is named for, on GO Transit's Richmond Hill line between Langstaff and Gormley. It's roughly two-thirds of the way along the corridor as it runs north from Union Station toward its terminus at Bloomington. Like the rest of the line, service here is weekdays only, trains start a little after 6 a.m. and the last one departs before 7:30 p.m., with nothing running on weekends. The station is wheelchair accessible. Richmond Hill has grown into one of the larger municipalities in York Region, and this station gives residents a direct, if peak-hours-only, rail connection into downtown Toronto rather than relying solely on Highway 404 or York Region Transit buses to reach the subway. Reroute compares that GO train against a York Region Transit connection or a straight drive, so the tradeoff is visible upfront.
