TMU station sits at Yonge and Dundas, between College and Queen on Line 1, named for Toronto Metropolitan University's campus that surrounds it, with Dundas Square and the Eaton Centre both immediately adjacent. The station carried the name Dundas for decades before the TTC renamed it to match the university's own switch from Ryerson to Toronto Metropolitan University, and it remains one of the busiest stops downtown thanks to the combination of shopping, streetcar transfers, and a large student population moving through daily. It's less a single destination than the centre of a dense cluster of retail, entertainment, and campus buildings that make this intersection one of the most visited in the city. Reroute treats it as a natural endpoint for downtown trips, whether the destination is the university, the square, or the mall above.
