St Clair West station sits at St Clair Avenue West and Bathurst Street, between Dupont and Cedarvale on Line 1, and it's the point where the subway meets the St Clair streetcar's dedicated right-of-way running along the surface above. That connection makes it a genuine transfer hub rather than just another stop on the Yonge-University line, linking the subway to the streetcar corridor that runs west through Wychwood and Forest Hill. The surrounding neighbourhood mixes established houses with newer mid-rise buildings, and the streetcar platform sits close to the subway entrance, keeping the transfer short.
