Sheppard-Yonge is where Line 1 and Line 4 meet, at Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue in North York, and the two lines share a cross-platform transfer, so switching between the Yonge subway and the short Sheppard line means walking across the same platform rather than climbing between levels. It's one of the busier stops north of downtown, surrounded by a growing cluster of condo towers and office buildings that have reshaped this stretch of Sheppard Avenue over the past two decades. The station sits between North York Centre and York Mills on Line 1, and is the western terminus of Line 4 toward Don Mills. Reroute treats the transfer here as close to free, since the walk between platforms is short enough that it rarely changes which route comes out fastest.
