Runnymede station sits at Bloor Street West and Runnymede Road, between Jane and High Park on Line 2, right at the edge of Bloor West Village's strip of independent shops and cafes that runs west from here toward Jane Street. The station isn't wheelchair accessible, so anyone needing step-free service through this stretch of the line should plan around High Park or Jane instead. Above ground the neighbourhood is solidly residential, tree-lined streets of early-20th-century houses that give this part of the west end a small-town feel despite sitting minutes from the subway. It's more a local stop than a destination, serving the immediate blocks rather than drawing riders from further afield. Reroute routes through it like any other Line 2 stop, flagging the accessibility gap when a step-free trip needs it.
