Queen's Park station sits on University Avenue between St Patrick and Museum, named for the Ontario Legislative Building and the park surrounding it, both a short walk east across University Avenue. It serves the university and government precinct here, with the University of Toronto's downtown campus spreading north and east and several major hospitals lining University Avenue to the south. The station is a fairly plain single-platform stop, more a functional entry to the legislature and campus than a destination of its own, and it sees a steady but unspectacular flow of students, staff, and visitors rather than the crush of the downtown core stations further south. Reroute plans through it as part of the University leg of Line 1, useful for anyone with business at Queen's Park or a lecture on campus.
