Osgoode station opens onto University Avenue at Queen Street West, named for Osgoode Hall next door, home to the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Court of Appeal, with Nathan Phillips Square and City Hall a short walk east. Sitting between St Andrew and St Patrick on Line 1, it's one of the busier stops in the downtown core, serving the civic and legal precinct alongside the Entertainment District a few blocks west. The Eaton Centre and TMU are close enough to reach on foot too, so Osgoode often works as an alternative to the more crowded stations further north on the same trip. Reroute weighs it against nearby stops like St Andrew and St Patrick when a route ends downtown, picking whichever leaves the shortest walk to the door.
