Line 4 Sheppard is the shortest line in the TTC subway, just five stations running east from Sheppard-Yonge to Don Mills along Sheppard Avenue in North York. It opened as the first phase of a planned longer route that was never built out further, so it now functions largely as a feeder into Line 1 rather than a route in its own right, connecting the office and condo towers along this stretch of Sheppard to the rest of the network. Trains run every 5 minutes throughout the day, a steady, unhurried frequency that matches the line's modest ridership compared to Line 1 or Line 2. Its incident index sits far below the system-wide baseline, the lowest of any TTC line with enough history to score, making it one of the more dependable rides on the network even if it only takes you five stops end to end.
