Lawrence station serves Yonge Street at Lawrence Avenue, in the moneyed midtown stretch between York Mills and Eglinton where Line 1 runs through Lawrence Park and the ravines that cut across this part of the city. It's one of the busier midtown stops, drawing commuters from the surrounding low-rise neighbourhoods rather than functioning as a destination hub in its own right. The platform sits directly under Yonge, with entrances on both the east and west sides of the street, and buses along Lawrence Avenue connect east toward Don Mills and west toward Bathurst and beyond. Reroute plans trips through here as part of the Yonge corridor, useful when a short walk or bus ride turns out faster than backtracking to a bigger interchange further south.
