Kipling marks the western terminus of Line 2, and it's a genuine multimodal hub, connecting the subway directly to GO Transit's rail corridor as well as a large surface bus terminal serving Etobicoke and beyond. It's the last stop heading west on the Bloor-Danforth line, one stop past Islington, and the station is built around that transfer role rather than serving a dense immediate neighbourhood the way stops closer to downtown do. For commuters coming in from further west, Kipling is often the first subway station they actually board, making the handoff between regional and city transit smoother than it would be without a direct connection. Reroute includes the GO leg in the same search as the subway, so that handoff shows up as one itinerary instead of two separate trips to plan.
