Jane station sits on Line 2 at Jane Street, in the Junction and Runnymede area of the west end, between Runnymede and Old Mill on the way toward the Humber River valley. The neighbourhood above ground has a distinct character from the more commercial stretch of Bloor Street further east, with the Junction's converted industrial buildings and older housing stock setting the tone. It's a single-line stop, and the walk down to the Humber River trails isn't far for anyone looking to extend the trip on foot once they're above ground again. It's a straightforward part of any west-end Line 2 trip, though for shorter hops a parallel bus route along Jane Street can sometimes match the subway once the detour underground is factored in.
