Lisgar sits near the Milton and Mississauga border, on GO's Milton line between Meadowvale and the Milton terminus, in one of the corridor's newer growth areas. Service here runs weekdays only, in the peak commuting direction, with trains operating between 6:08 a.m. and 8:01 p.m. and no scheduled weekend GO service, matching the pattern of every other stop on this line. Lisgar has grown substantially as a residential area in recent years, and the station serves that growth, though its weekday-only schedule means it functions strictly as a commuting option rather than an all-purpose transit stop. Anyone planning a weekend trip through this part of Milton or Mississauga needs an alternative to GO rail here.
