The Barrie line runs from Union Station north through York Region and into Simcoe County, ending at Allandale Waterfront on Barrie's Kempenfelt Bay shoreline, 11 stations across the whole corridor. Service here leans toward commuter-hours travel rather than genuinely all-day frequency: trains run roughly every hour through midday and evening, with no listed service in the early morning rush period and a tighter interval, about 23 minutes, during the evening peak heading north. Weekend trains do run on this line, starting later at 7:01 a.m. compared to 5:13 a.m. on weekdays, and continuing just as late into the night. Stops along the way include Aurora and Newmarket in York Region and Bradford further north, with Downsview Park offering a direct transfer to TTC's Line 1 subway partway along the route out of Toronto.
